T’boli, South Cotabato, March 19, 2025 — The Philippine Nutri-Foods Corporation (PNFC) was invited to participate in the third Monthly Municipal Nutrition Implementers Meeting held at the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) in T’boli, South Cotabato. The meeting, facilitated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) as the secretariat of the Provincial Nutrition Committee (PNC), focused on strengthening nutrition program implementation across the province.
The event gathered Municipal Nutrition Action Officers, Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinators, and provincial nutrition staff to tackle key agenda items, including activity schedules, Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program (TKDSP) updates, report submissions, and shared concerns from the field.
Representing Philippine Nutri-Foods Corporation, Mr. Michael Lucero presented PNFC’s line of specially formulated food products aimed at supporting the nutritional needs of malnourished children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. While PNFC is not yet officially part of the TKDSP in the region, the presentation served as an opportunity to introduce the brand’s commitment to nutrition and explore potential collaborations with local government units (LGUs) and program implementers.
“We are grateful for the invitation to showcase our products to South Cotabato’s dedicated nutrition implementers. It’s an honor to be considered as a potential partner in their efforts to combat malnutrition and improve community health,” shared Lucero.
Ms. Katty T. Parreño, RND, NNC XII TKDSP Focal Person, also attended the meeting to provide final updates on the ongoing implementation of the Dietary Supplementation Program, commending the LGUs for their proactive engagement and local innovations.
The meeting—hosted by the Municipality of T’boli—continues to serve as a vital space for local implementers to share updates, align on goals, and explore partnerships that can further strengthen nutrition outcomes across the province.
