About Us

Who We Are

We are Philippine Nutri-Foods Corporation (PNFC), a social enterprise dedicated to improving the nutrition and well-being of Filipino families. As a subsidiary of the Nutrition Center of the Philippines (NCP), we align our mission with the goal of promoting nutrition security across the country. Since our establishment in 1977, we have been at the forefront of developing and manufacturing fortified foods and supplements to support national feeding programs, working closely with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.

Over the years, our commitment has only grown stronger, reaching thousands of children and families through fortified food solutions tailored to meet the unique nutritional needs of infants, young children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. We take pride in our legacy of public health innovation, having played a key role in the development of NutriBun, the award-winning NutriPan sa Eskwelahan, and the Pabasa sa Nutrisyon Program.

For over four decades, we have been more than just a company—we are a partner in building a healthier, stronger Philippines. With every child nourished and every mother supported, we move closer to a future where no Filipino suffers from malnutrition.

“A healthy diet starts in the First 1,000 Days, with a pregnant mother taking adequate nutrients for her baby’s proper growth and development.”

– Dr. Mary Christine Castro,
Executive Director of Nutrition Center of the Philippines
Vice President of Philippine Nutri-foods Corporation

Collaborative Programs with the
Nutrition Center of the Philippines (NCP)

At PNFC, we have always been dedicated to giving back to the community, and our recent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative exemplified this commitment. In partnership with the Rogue Pilipinas Paddlers Club, we successfully hosted the Health and Wellness Outreach 2024 on April 7, 2024, in Kahilom II, Pandacan, Manila, providing essential health services and wellness activities to underserved children.

The event was made possible through the collective efforts of our valued partners: Philippine Nutri-Foods Corporation, Starleaf Medical Supply Inc., Z Dental Clinic, QDP Pharma, and Yireh Medical Supplies and Equipment. Together, we delivered a Dental Mission and Free Operation Tuli, ensuring that the children received important health services. In addition to medical care, we encouraged an active lifestyle by hosting Zumba sessions, making fitness fun and engaging for the young participants.

We also distributed free vitamins, medicines, and fortified food products, including Nutri-Cookies, Nutri-Foods Milk Powder, and VitaMeena 6-59 multivitamins, to the 50 children who benefitted from the outreach. Our aim was to not only address their immediate health needs but also to contribute to their long-term wellness.

This outreach left a lasting impact, promoting healthier, happier lives for the community with the support of our incredible partners. If your organization is looking to collaborate on impactful CSR initiatives or develop programs to combat malnutrition and improve community health, contact us today.

To date, more than 70 NutriPan bakeries have been established across the Philippines, providing both nutritional benefits and economic opportunities to the communities involved. These collaborative programs with NCP exemplify our shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of children and families across the country.

Feeding Program

Since 2014, our products have been instrumental in supporting local government units across the National Capital Region in their fight against malnutrition. To date, we have reached over 20,100 children across Valenzuela City, Taguig City, Muntinlupa, and Pandacan, Manila, through various food packs and supplements that promote health and wellness.

In Valenzuela City, the Barangay-Based Feeding Program launched in early 2014 provided 6,300 children aged 6 months to 5 years, with ready-to-cook food packs, including Nutri-Foods Rice Porridge, Nutri-Love Baby Foods, Nutri-Pasta, and Nutri-Macaroni. The program encompassed all 32 barangays, ensuring that we reach every child we can in Valenzuela with adequate nutrition.

In Taguig City, a supplementary feeding program has been implemented since 2016, benefiting over 12,000 children aged 6 to 23 months. This program includes Nutri-Foods Rice Porridge, Nutri-Pasta, Nutri-Macaroni, Nutri-Oats, Nutri-Love, Nutri-Milk, and Nutri-Foods MNP, ensuring a balanced intake for the city’s young population.

A feeding program has also been launched in Muntinlupa City for children aged 2 to 6 years in the latter half of 2016. With cycles lasting 3 to 6 months, this initiative has already supported 1,800 children since. The meals provided in this program incorporate Nutri-Foods Rice Porridge, Nutri-Pasta, and Nutri-Love, ensuring consistent nutrition for the young beneficiaries.

Most recently, in Pandacan, Manila, we partnered with the Rogue Pilipinas Paddlers Club for the Health and Wellness Outreach 2024, providing vital health services and nutritional products to 50 children. As part of this initiative, children received essential vitamins, fortified food products like Nutri-Cookies and Nutri-Foods Milk Powder, and nutritional supplements like VitaMeena 6-59. This outreach focused on addressing both immediate health needs and long-term wellness.

These ongoing programs demonstrate the effectiveness of well-structured feeding initiatives in combating malnutrition. At PNFC, we continue to design and offer comprehensive nutrition programs that help communities grow healthier and stronger.

Who We Are

In addition to its research efforts, the NCP also runs NutriPan sa Eskwelahan (NPE), a food fortification program launched in 2004 to address Vitamin A and iron deficiencies among schoolchildren. Awarded the 2006 Outstanding Health Research Award by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD – DOST), NPE provides fresh, affordable, fortified breads to schools at meal times. NCP helps set up bakeries in schools and provides training for their operation and management, ensuring that the program is self-sustaining. The profits generated by these school bakeries support other health and nutrition programs in the schools.

To date, more than 70 NutriPan bakeries have been established across the Philippines, providing both nutritional benefits and economic opportunities to the communities involved. These collaborative programs with NCP exemplify our shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of children and families across the country.
